LIVE MUSIC – Kalyna Rakel

Kalyna Rakel has always done things her own way. Living in her van on the road, she remains true to herself and her music. During COVID she has released home recordings on BANDCAMP where you can find all her latest material – stomping on drums with distorted guitar and vocals, featuring Dan Gurman on pedal steel, lap steel and slide guitars. Her record ‘Before & After You’ is a two-part concept album telling the story of love gone good and bad. Featuring legendary guitarist Kevin Breit, the album ranges from distorted garage blues to dreamy ethereal folk. The record comes with a 24-page comic book of Kalyna’s original drawings and lyrics. Whether playing in a bar or on a festival stage, Kalyna delivers her songs with an undeniable honesty. Her music continues to evolve and change and she is grateful for the opportunity to share it.
